Accommodating family members and visitors in hospital rooms is essential; but can be challenging. During the day, hospital seating is limited as visitors come and go “borrowing” chairs from nearby rooms. For overnight stays, fold-out sofa beds create clutter, and add to the demands on staff trying to navigate a nocturnal obstacle course.
