Maitland Private Hospital has unveiled its new $15 million dollar cancer centre expansion. The fully-integrated Maitland Cancer Centre, which has created an additional 20 full-time nursing and support services roles, was part of a 12-month project.
This new Cancer Care facility offers patients in Maitland and the Hunter Valley an alternative to travelling into Newcastle. It features a modern design, state-of-the-art equipment, and wonderful views of the surrounding area.
“This is a fantastic development for our local community,” Maitland Private Hospital CEO Peter Cizzio said. “Having new cancer and mental health facilities available for the residents of Maitland, and the greater Hunter, saves travel and ensures the best possible care for our patients.”
